Intex on Monday launched its Aqua Ace II smartphone soon after listing it on the company website. The budget smartphone is priced at Rs. 8,999, which is Rs. 4,000 less than its predecessor, the Aqua Ace. The Aqua Ace launched in September last year.
The Intex Aqua Ace II is a dual-SIM supporting handset that runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution IPS display with a pixel density of 294ppi. The company claims that the handset features 80 percent screen-to-body ratio.
The Intex Aqua Ace II is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735V/W processor clocked at 1.3GHz, clubbed with 3GB RAM DDR3. It houses 16GB inbuilt-storage, out of which users will receive roughly 12GB for personal use. The budget smartphone however, can support microSD card (up to 32GB).
The handset sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with 4P Lens, aperture f/2.0 and dual-tone LED flash, while featuring a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with aperture f/2.4. On the connectivity front, the smartphone supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB connectivity. It also comes with MHL support, letting users mirror the smartphone screen on to their television sets using the MHL cable. Measuring 145.3x72x8.65mm, the smartphone weighs 149 grams, and is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
Surprisingly, the Intex Aqua Ace came with the same display size, screen resolution, processor, RAM, inbuilt storage, and connectivity options. However, the older phone had a lower 2300mAh battery, and housed a 13-megapixel rear camera.
“Intex has always kept pace with technology and brought latest innovation in every hand. With Aqua ACE II, we are happy to offer Big Screen Experience to consumers with an in-built MHL Technology in the device. The smart phone is 4G-LTE, with big battery and a multi-tasker, making the smart phone a true performer,” stated Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies.
