To celebrate its sixth birthday, Xiaomi will be conducting the Mi Fan Festival on April 6 from 8AM to 10PM. Besides the first Xiaomi Mi 5 flash sale, fans will also be able to buy the Redmi Note 3, 20,000mAh Mi Power Bank and more.


Xiaomi is all set to celebrate its sixth birthday on April 6 with the Mi Fan Festival from 8AM to 10PM on Mi.com. It is also the day when company’s 2016 flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 5 goes on flash sale for the first time. Other products such as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and the 20,000mAh Mi Power Bank will also be available on flash sale. The Xiaomi Mi 4i, Xiaomi Mi Pad and other accessories will also be available for purchase with bundled freebies.


Flash Sales: Xiaomi will be conducting three flash sales on April 6 at 11AM, 2PM and 5PM. The Xiaomi Mi 5 will be available for Rs 24,999 and as an introductory launch day offer; the Mi Protect insurance plan will be available for just Rs 499, against the regular pricing of Rs 699. The Mi Protect insurance plan safeguards your smartphone against accidental physical and liquid damage.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 will also be available on flash sale with 16GB storage variant and 2GB of RAM costing Rs 9,999, and the 32GB storage variant with 3GB of RAM priced at Rs 11,999. Buyers will also be eligible to get Rs 50 off on buying a protective case for the device.

Lastly, the recently announced Mi Power Bank with a shopping 20,000mAh battery will also be available on flash sale for Rs 1,699. The power bank comes with two USB ports, allowing you to charge two different devices at the same time. It comes with rapid charging feature that can charge the Power Bank to 11,000mAh in three hours and full charge in seven hours. To put it to perspective, the Mi Power Bank can charge the 3,000mAh battery on the Mi 5 for a little over six times. That’s not all; it can also charge the New MacBook with USB Type-C port.

New launches: To celebrate the Mi Fan Festival, Xiaomi is also launching three new products — The Mi In-Ear Headphones Pro, LED Light Enhanced and the Mi USB Cable 120cm. The new Mi In-Ear Headphones Pro are priced at Rs 1,399 and offer HD audio output. It’s made from durable, break-resistant Kevlar fiber cable, comes with in-line microphone for taking handsfree phone calls, and also has three buttons to play/pause and skip music.

The LED Light Enhanced is small, portable and 50 percent brighter than the previous version. It comes with a flex body to adjust the position. There’s also a button near the USB connector – short press to adjust brightness level and long press to turn off the light. It will be available in white and blue color options, priced at Rs 249 only.

Lastly, there’s also a Mi USB Cable of length 120cm. Priced at Rs 149, it is compatible to connect with multiple devices, such as smartphones, tablets and more.

Festive bundles and freebies: Xiaomi will also be offering freebies and bundled offers on a range of products. Firstly, the Mi Band and Mi In-Ear Headphones bundle will be available for Rs 1,598. The second bundle comprise of the Mi In-Ear Headphones Basic along with the Xiaomi Mi 4i (16GB) for Rs 11,999.
